Today is a good day.

Very good indeed.

We got to do the things we have always wanted to do.

We got rid of Streamyx.

We also got rid of Astro.

Both combined cost us RM 299.00 per month. We now only pay half that amount but surf the net and watch stream TV at 18 times the speed. My upload to youtube (HD) is 20 times faster!!

Ok, maybe Assthrow have more HD contents but so what? On repeats, repeats and repeats?

The new TV show called "Smash" which is a talk about would not be shown here in HD. It would be on Diva which is not on HD. I am still puzzled as to why are we not getting new shows on HD when 99.999% sales of new flat panel TVs are all in HD?

Must we pay extra for HD?

Aren't everyone is entitled to get it in HD?

BROADBAND?

It is already in its third month where one cannot upload to YouTube or Vimeo peacefully.

Interupted (such as throttling and or 'screening') uploads causes problems thus unsuccessful uploads. Let alone downloads.

Can anyone tell me that we are NOT supposed to upload or download from the internet here in Malaysia? Is this official? Then what da fcuk we need the internet for? I am using this for WORK! Not play, play. And I cannot afford to rent a five-star office in a designated MSC appointed area for Broadband. Do you mean that only the rich can surf the net? What fcuk is all these about?

We have NO other choice but to use TN Steamyx.

No, the others are not available here in our part of Klang. For your information, we are less than half a Km from the TN exchange and the internet connection suxs! The connection automatically cuts off every 20 minutes!!
How did Malaysia claim to be the Hub-of-the-Multimedia-Souper-Corridor where our Broadband Suxs to high heaven? Bloody Bluffer! (....if there is such a word?)

You see, I am very desperate because I am planning to take part in two International Competitions involving Video production. Time is running out!

One is the "My View- The Asia-Pacific Climate Change" organised by the Asian Development Bank
and the second is " 2010 Democracy Video Challenge" organised by the US Embassy.

Both video clips are required to be uploaded to YouTube and both ends on 31st. January, 2010.

A one minute HD Video usually takes four hours to upload via our so called BROADBAND by TN Steamyx. Viewers would need twenty to thirty minutes for downstreaming just to watch!

Like I have said it before, the BROADBAND is so slow that I thought to have seen two snails fcuking!

High Speed Broadband?

As Usual, TM Suxs!

Lately, browsing thru the net via TM's Steamyx is crawling! You call that Broadband?
It is quite OK if you are just going in getting your mails from GMail, Yahoo, Hotmail....
but surfing is damn.....slow! It takes 4 minutes to load-up a home page averagingly.

Is this really Broadband ? TM charges RM110.00 for the line plus 1Mb Broadband package and choosing the 2Mb Broadband plus line is all pure bull shit because unless one lives next to Big Shots...i.e in Cyberjaya/Putrajaya. Even in PJ, one cannot get 2Mb. Why?
It is the absence of fibre-optic cables!

Just look at other countries.
In a computer magazine in the UK (one of the most expensive Cities in the World) , A 2Mb Broadband package with a phoneline, it costs only RM80.60!! (currency exchange at Pound Sterling 5.2, March 2009)

Why is TM overcharging us?
It is almost impossible to get involved in on-line (network) gaming with such slow speed which is now out of date. Just like High Definition TV, our RTM was also caught sleeping!!!

This morning's newspaper reported ASSTRO also lost money!!! A monopoly also lost money!
Just like TM, I bet their CEO still gets BIG FAT SALARIES!!! Just like Puncak Niaga's
RM 425,000.00 a MONTH!!!! (not in a year mind you!) No joke!

Damn shiok, this type of salary I also want!!!! But I not.........................lah!

Today is a day to remember. It is a very special day.
I am No Longer a Customer of TM Streamyx. I have, faithfully, been a customer of Telekoms since Jabatan Telecom time. That would be in 1973!!!!!!!! That was when I would only pay $7 per month and would also get 100 free calls!

I remember your 28kbps "Internet" introduction. Also the 56kbps era. Also remembered the Usenet. Had wonderful time at Soc.Culture.Malaysia.

I have been a good customer for 35 years! TM have just lost a good customer.
But do they care? Really? The shocking thing is that many were still lining up to sign up for Streamyx Combo while I was in line to cancel my Internet today!!! That goes to show that many are still clueless about 'real' broadband'. Many also really do not know that paying RM110/Combo 1Mbps per month is a 'short change'!!!! Do they have a choice?
Their so called "Broadband" sucks Big Time and all the time talking cock about Multimedia, Borderless marketing, Cyber'this' and Cyber'that'.
Is our "Fast Internet" really that fast? Bullshit!
In Klang North, getting anything more than 700Kbps is a Miracle.

Yah, go give those selected rich farkers 10Mbps, 100Mbps or even 1,000Mbps.
Our Malaysian Broadband is a sick Joke!!!

Smart Consumer...Pt.One

My MAXIS IS DEAD!

I have decided to terminated my choice for using Maxis in all my mobile needs. I've Killed it! I have decided NOT to allow my Maxis to receive and send Calls.

You see, I was on a packaged post paid system of RM 80/month. and throughout the year, I made less calls so it is MAXIS that makes more money from me! I stoopid! They smart!

I joined in with my wifey's 019-"Will U Marry Me" promotions!!!!

Since me AND my family is on a serious Austerity Drive, we became smart. We already saved RM48/month on not buying the newspaper The Maxis thinggy saves me 50% of my calls thus is about RM40/momth. The last and final thrust would be the ARSE-throw!!!!
Yesterday, climbed up da roof to re-aligned the old TV antenna to adjust to TV3,NTV7, TV8 and TV9. (in UHF)The images are all super clear except RTM1 and RTM2 (outdated VHF)! Ptui!,,,who wants tv1&2?
So when all ready, we are all going to P.T.U.I.I.I ....ARSE-throw (as my relative's filipina maid says it)
Too bad EPL is now on but just by thinking paying RM89/month......some house even got two ARSE-throw....it would work out RM1,069 a year! And then....see what? all repeats again and again......Damn cheat and still wan more money for ASStro-On-Demand!!!!
Do anyone here knows what "ON-DEMAND" is or how it is worked? Ha!Ha! we got cheated again. Our "On demand" is very different the original US version of "On Demand"
