Still A Top Dog!

Yup! It is.

The Panasonic Lumix GH2 is still rated as 'Top Dog' in video shooting via a photo camera.
A comparison with the new Canon 600D and the newer Sony NEX 5N is laid bare here to see.

An international reviewer says so here.
The proof is in the pudding.

Many still do not know that the GH2 is NOT a 'point-and-shoot' camera.
It is a serious non-DSLR camera enough.

I'm interested to see how GH2 performs with Nikon or Canon telephoto lens at 300mm, 400mm, 500mm or even 600mm. Have you tested them with the GH2 or have you come across any owner using it with the telephoto lens?

A note of interest here. When the GH2 became available in January this year, I bought mine and being in the new format, the Micro Four Thirds, I used it mainly for videos. As time goes by, many professionals who shoots HD vids began to discover it's excellent performance over other 'dslrs' With the new hack, it even outperforms the Canon5D mkII. The price difference made many to rethink on the GH2 but worldwide stocks were scare.
Yes, I shoot all my new videos on my GH2 now and with the telephoto zoom 45-200mm with ETC 'on'. You can see it on this blog at 'older posts'
The GH2 is NOT a compact, shoot-all camera as in GF2, G2,LX etc.
It was built around the 'dslr'platform yet is mirrorless and prismless.
regrds.
