What Is Wrong With You, Asstro?

What's With Da
F**King Yellow Bao?

Next Month's Asstro's Program Guide came with 8 pieces of empty Hong Pao packets.

Ang Pao or Hong Bao is a Chinese Traditional practice dated way back in the BCs.
It is a red packet containing money, a gift for/or in an exchange gesture called "Laisee"
It is Red in color signifying happiness. It is explained here and here.

What is then Asstro's aim in giving us "Ang Pows" in Yellow color?
Also, what da fcuk are those cartoon characters on the packets?

Shouldn't it be some Hapiness or Prosperity symbols because we use it as a noble gift? Why is Asstro so disrespectful and making fun of the Chinese Customs and Tradition? I feel insulted because no one have ever made fun of this age-old respect. I tore up ALL eight of them and chuck it away in da largest out-tray in da house! Da dustbin!

Maybe you have printed it in other colors such as green but why not try Black? Blue? I would then suggest that you also try printing it in "WHITE" color!!!!!

I really wish I could give you, ASSTRO, "white" PAO or "Park Kum".
Go Da fcuk and figure it yourself Asstro!! You are already a disgrace to our society!!!!

Sick Bananas

DISEASED BANANAS SOLD? This is the second comb of bananas we bought in a week from a well known hypermart in Klang having some sort of a 'disease'. We did not notice it at first (fcuk! we ate it the usual way) but we have to expel it in a sort of 'fish-bone reaction' due to something hard!

We thought it was banana seeds ( like those in wild bananas) but this was the 'Cavendish hybrid' sold under the name of "Montel". They are supposed to be free of seeds. There was even a sticker label attached to the comb.

Out of curiousity, we sliced the banana length wise and this is what we saw!!!!

Yucks! Just what is this?
Let us see it nearer.

Yet a Closer view- A Macro-shot.
All all these edible?

What is the fcuk is the Kementrian doing? Don't the Authorities, farmer, distributor, buyer at supermarkets knows too? I believe it is not a new thing but why then still sell it?
This is outright cheating because we the consumer are paying for it with our hard earned cash.

I think it is a kind of the banana plant 'disease' as reported by the Ministry/Mardi last month but instead of destroying all those million of banana trees, they kept quiet and make us pay for their mistakes and eventually, throw it away, also keeping quiet like a bodoh!!!!

So much Millions of Ringgit are spent on agriculture research and why are we getting such trash?

When we see the TV news especially during Agricultural Fairs, da ministers always pose next to a giant Nangka, Chiku, Rambutans, Mangosteen, Payayas, and even Peanuts bigger than Balls! Yet we get diseased bananas. Hey, we do not want large 'bananas' but edible ones. The papayas too, are tasteless nowadays.

Dear all, please check the bananas you have bought and make sure they are not the ones we got. Our children may fall sick. With so much genectically modification on fruits, vegetables and mosquitoes going on, we sincerely hope that our children do not grow an 'extra' banana!!!!!!

Even a simple fruit cannot be handled properly, yet want to talk 'big' about "BioTechnologi!!!"

Fair Dinkum?

RoboCops

TERMINATORS
ROBOMOZZIES!!!!

Yesterday some experts were talking about solving the problem of too much Mosquitoes in the country by suggesting to our Gormen that they have a solution.
You see, they want to release a specially modified (Genetically) bred Mozzies that can do a Kung-Poo, Silat and also armed with a Kandar stick to kick ass in Pulau Ketam.
They also say that it can work. Here

The problem is that they cannot guarantee what can happen if it goes out of control! Do you agree?

Please stop fcuking around with Mother Nature.

We now have diseases that we cannot pronounce it correctly. First was Dengee (see, I can't even spell it right!) and next is something called Chee-Kung-cheebye...something like this.....!!!!!!

Just send out more Municipal workers to clean up da fcuking mess especially areas clogged up with garbage thus breeding mosquitoes which causes disease.
Send those 'thousands of jobless illegals' rounded up recently to do this job. They may be the same thousands, if not, a million (by now), who dirty our beloved country in the first place!!!!!!!!!
Whadda Fcuk!

Hello There!

"I Am a Green Lizard"

This picture was taken at 1pm today. This was at the Taman Alam, Kuala Selangor Nature Bird Park, Selangor. "Anyone out there knows my name?"
Appreciates if any 'lizard' specialists knows what type of wild cicak is this!

Went birding this morning but all we saw was plenty of "two-legged noise makers" that come in droves. Inspite of large notice Boards requesting silence in appropriate languages, still, these un-educated fools makes lots of un-necessary noise!!!!!!! Not only the resident Monkeys were agitated, we got out of the place as fast as we came in.
Just how does one observe birds with so much disturbances? Pure un-educated fools!
We sprayed on mosquito repellant. There were thousands of 'em. Still wondering how these un-educated fools handled da mosquitoes! There were no birds too. Wondered why?

You Joking or What?

RM300 Million!!!!!!

Just wondering if you agree with me that the new Bus Station in Klang Utara called "Klang Sentral" costs 300 Million Ringgit? You can build a small airport with it.

The Star report here.
http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file=/2008/12/10/central/2689410&sec=central

I took a drive to see for myself and I am really wondering why it cost so much!

How could a place be called "Central" and is is located 6 Km away? It should be called Klang Utara instead. All da report about congestion, populated, traffic, cost of land...... are so damn lame yet we Klangites have to hold on to our balls and scream!

Anyway, dear fellow Klangites, carry on banging balls till it drops. You asked for it.
Change? Where da fuck is da change?

Shine UP, Shine DOWN

MPK,
Please wake UP!

It is already a month and MPK does not give a damn. Claiming to be 'World Class' and wanted to be a 'fully developed CITY', such poor upkeep is so typical of our daily life.

This set of traffic lights, located in Jalan Meru, is in front of Klang Parade. The lights are pointing downwards and even the first car on the junction cannot see if it is red, green or amber! The 'kontractor' did not bother to put it right. By now, they must have been paid for a job well done!
Gaji buta!

Next is a street light located on the "World's Only Single lane Tolled Highway" This former Jalan Batu Belah had been handed over to Shahpadu Highway operator who collects a 60 sen toll/single way. To justify charging this toll, this road is 'given' to them.
This is also the 'Worst maintained Highway in the World" which is full of potholes, Ultra bad road shoulders and lights which are KO'ed all the time. Perhaps our Tuanku should come over here to see this part of the 'Highway'! we are so fed up already.

Just see this street lamp!

It is NOT beaming on the road.

It is pointed up towards the sky!!!!!! Whadda Fuck!

A Customer No More

FUCK YOU STEAMYX!!

Today is a day to remember. It is a very special day.
I am No Longer a Customer of TM Streamyx. I have, faithfully, been a customer of Telekoms since Jabatan Telecom time. That would be in 1973!!!!!!!! That was when I would only pay $7 per month and would also get 100 free calls!

I remember your 28kbps "Internet" introduction. Also the 56kbps era. Also remembered the Usenet. Had wonderful time at Soc.Culture.Malaysia.

I have been a good customer for 35 years! TM have just lost a good customer.
But do they care? Really? The shocking thing is that many were still lining up to sign up for Streamyx Combo while I was in line to cancel my Internet today!!! That goes to show that many are still clueless about 'real' broadband'. Many also really do not know that paying RM110/Combo 1Mbps per month is a 'short change'!!!! Do they have a choice?
Their so called "Broadband" sucks Big Time and all the time talking cock about Multimedia, Borderless marketing, Cyber'this' and Cyber'that'.
Is our "Fast Internet" really that fast? Bullshit!
In Klang North, getting anything more than 700Kbps is a Miracle.

Yah, go give those selected rich farkers 10Mbps, 100Mbps or even 1,000Mbps.
Our Malaysian Broadband is a sick Joke!!!
P1WiMax?Izzi?Maxis?Sellcom?DG?.....................another sick joke!
Yah! FASTEST EVER!!!! Only if you live next door to the Prime Minister!
Anyway, farewell TM. May You Rot In Hell!

Handsome Boy

Olive-backed Sunbird
Our lovely pair resident.

The Sunbird is usually confused with the American Hummingbirds which are found only in the Americas. The Hummers are more colorful and very energetic and are also smaller in size.

The Sunbirds are listed as the 'Old-World' species. They are nectar and insect feeders. When we moved to Klang almost 6 years ago, the first pair started a family on one of our hanging orchid
pot which was growing profusely with Dendrobium anosmum, a Malaysian species.
As for today, a new family is being developed especially feeding from our very own DIY nectar feeder. Their highly pitched tweeting greets us every morning and is getting more daring by coming closer to us humans at a very close eye-level.

This picture was taken without a zoom lens and was only four feet away!
Handsome fella!

Which is more of a concern?

CHESS Too?

In a game of chess, you beat your opponent by check-mating him/her.
Sometimes, your opponent can be very distracting especially he is a she. (hic!)
See if play chess like dat, how to compete?
So much distraction.
Sure loose wan! But then again, our other concern would be the position of the "Bishop".
Will that be a problem too?
Or perhaps we can replace it with this carving? Surely many kids will love playing Chess.

Just what da fuck is wrong with us?

BUY ONE, FREE ONE!

The above phrase is now mis-understood.
No thanks to our very poor understanding of the English language.

When the seller says that "buy one, free one", it is generally meant that when we buy one, we would get another SAME item for free. It could also mean that we get two SAME items for the price of one.

Cock's Mammoth's advertisement last week and also today's, screamed that "Buy one, Get three free!" do not make sense! You buy one TV, they give you a smaller TV, a toaster and a sandwich maker for free. Does this qualify for such claim as 'Buy one get Three Free' tagline?
Rubbish!

The executives at Cock's Mammoths should be sent back to school or be sacked!!!! Hope that this person did not get 16As in school! Whadda Dumb Fuck!

Talikoms Malaysia

You don't have to do this
everytime it Rains, TM!

Everytime it rains heavily in Klang, someone's home phone goes 'DEAD'.
So talikoms called their 'OUT-SAUCE' (hic!...outsourced) kontractor to go do some repairs.
Why? This is because our 'antique-cated' phone lines are still connected to copper wires.

Do not know what happened to all da "talk-cock" making Malaysia a World Class Multimedia
Country blah, blah..... and what happened to all da money already spent to lay da fibre-optik?

Went to talikoms yesterday and asked again when we 'pokai people' can get 4Mbps?
TAK TAHU!!!!!! was da reply. Fuck!
Just when can we....er TAHU?
TAK TAHU!!!!!!was da reply again. Double Fuck!

This is a Fucked up Country! Please stop talking about naming roads like "Jalan Multimedia" .It is begining to look like your multimedia is only for the very rich people and ones who can afford to buy a house in Putrajaya/Cyberjaya!!!!
Why not name roads like Jalan Pokai, Jalan Bohong,Jalan Malu, Jalan Buaya? Oh! got Jalan Sg.Buaya already!
It is still 1 Mbps (pay for 1 Mbps but get only 700Kbps) "narrowband" for us in Klang!!!!Fuck!

Cheating or What?

This time it's Carrefour!!!!!

"Consumers must be Smart" says the Minister of Consumer Affairs.
"REDUCTION in prices of essentials" he screamed recently!!!!
Bollox!!!!!!!

We were cheated by Carrefour in Klang few days ago. The newspaper advertisement said that for RM5.00 we can buy 3 tins of 'Maligold' Sweetened Creamer. Usually it is RM2.50/tin. For two days, this Hypermart gives you good deal! Balls again!
Yes, it was advertised even at the grand entrance of the mart. It also screamed RM5.00 for 3 tins at the display section. The signage card measures 24"x12" in Red and Yellow.

Wow, very attractive.
So we took the offer. We also took note.

Yet when we checked out, they charged us full price!!!!! What da BALLS!!! Farkau!!
Another farked up Hypermart cheat again.

"Computer error..."the supervisor said!!!

Balls!!!! I say.
The time of the incident was 5pm and the cashier had the cheek to say that we were the first one to complain! Balls again. Just how many stupid consumer actually look at their bill???
Why so many stupid 'chin-chye' customers let the Hypermarkets get away?
Another funny thing hor. Why is it that ONLY at the Hypermarket, we must pay in full BEFORE we see the actual bill? Is it not against Consumers Rights?

Also, can we DEMAND that the Ministry issues an order to all retail outlets that price stickers be placed on EVERY item so that we can see what we are paying for? The excuse is long overdue because these outlets claimed that it is too tedious to do so as they sells by the thousands per week. Yah! they also cheats by the thousands weekly if consumers are too chin-chye!!!

It is not that we cannot afford it at normal price but principally, it is not correct!

It is darn right 'cheating by 'ignorance'!

Hey Minister, please do your work properly lah! We da poor folks are getting broke and angry already. We are experiencing these silly excuses for 10 years already!!!!! Was any of them FINED before?

Enough of cheating and pretenses!!!!!! FUCK!

A New Bird Spotted

Coppersmith Barbet
Megalaima haemacephala

Was observating from our backyard in our Klang home.
Since there were many 'bird-waves' around six large trees, we decided to do a close observation.
The species spotted were Mynah, Hill Mynah, Yellow Vented Bulbul, Starlings, Sunbirds and a new comer....the Coppersmith Barbet. This lovely little fellow is green in color with a bright Red crown, yellow markings at the top and bottom of the eyes, spotted chest markings. It is already a week and we have already made 18 sightings.
Lovely bird.
Who says Klang has no nice birds?

Which is Correct?

Addressing Names

It is getting unbearable.
How do one address another person correctly?

For example:-
Let us say that there is a gentleman by the name of Barack Obama.
How do we address him correctly (not a full President yet)?
Mr. Obama? or Mr. Barack?

Here in Malaysia it is very common (nowadays .......since good English has died!) that our younger people would call him Mr. Barack!!!!! The main argument is that Barack is his name and Obama is his father's name and calling or addressing him as Mr. Barack is correct.

I honestly think this is incorrect! On the phone, in letters and even e-mails I get people calling me Mr. Donald!!! It is just like calling others Mr. George (for George Bush), Ms. Britney (for Britney Spears) or Mr. Elton, Mr. Bill, Ms Michelle (for Michelle Yeoh)........Duh!

Just because in the Malay and Tamil language this is practiced, it does not mean that it can be changed universally and by not correcting this sitaution, we are making arseholes out of ourselves.
Do you call Ms Lindsay? Ms. Angelina? Ms.Kim? Mr.Ryan? Mr.Robin? Ms.Sigourney?Mr.Tom?.......Ha!Ha! Why not just call the name minus the Mr. or Ms? That is what names are for ...yah? Please cut the Mr. crap or at least address the name in full.

Can you imagine come 20th. January 2009 that we Malaysian address the US President as President Barack!!!!!!! (after all his Father's name is Obama!)

The next time I get a phone call asking for Mr. Donald, I would just hang up......or better still....... I may just reply that the Duck is not in! Fcuk!

One please, not One Hundred!

TESCO,
Quality Please!

If you want to 'Ape' others and to attract customers, please lah, have some quality.

As you know by now, Malaysians are always attracted like flies, to 'cheaper' sales especially with lower prices of Milo, Diapers, toilet rolls, tissue boxes, Fabric Conditioners, Detergent, Horlicks..,
Just look at da car parking lot whenever there are such sales. They even park discriminately by the Highways! Kiasus!
Therefore not to be out done, these bigger hypermarts started to introduce their own 'branded' everything such as soap powders and tissue boxes.

TESCO is one of them.

We bought them and the batch we kena is definetly defective! You pull for one sheet, it come connected to 100 sheets! Apparently, the actual manufacturer's tissue cutter is faulty.
So we as customers, get to buy more tissue boxes is it? Bodoh lah!
Please wake up TESCO!!!!! This is due to POOR quality Control!!!!!!

Fruits & Vegetables from China

SAFE?
Bullshit!

Read the newspapers today and our Minister of Health says that Fruits, Vegetables and Eggs from China are SAFE. Really?
How can it be safe if none of the samples are actually tested? Classified under Level 4 means that only a sample is taken and can be immediately released into our market for sales. It looks like they are more concerned about backlogs (3/4 days storage delays) and losses incurred by the importer rather than the safety and health of us, ........the consumers. Wasn't it the same Ministry that only 'nod' a finger and agreed to let 'a batch of cancer causing' red food coloring be used till the stock runs out late last year? Huh..... da DVD actor-guy?
I read the news at 7.30am today but at 4pm, CNN reported that Hongkong have confirmed that eggs from China contains the dreaded Melamine!!!!!!

If one were to check it out, even in the most advanced countries testing for this new 'menace' is new and uncertain, yet our great and clever MINISTER says it is SAFE!!!!! It was also reported that there are NO SAFE LEVELS of Melamine!!!!!!! Whathen da FCUK!

Encik Liow (not even a doctor), you say is safe .............then you eat yah? We are NOT eating it.

Can we SUE the Gormen if anyone of us eat it and kena problems? We have 3 friends going through Cancer treatments and it is NO fun at all! Trust me.

Take care friends, just who can we trust nowadays?

Spotted!

Little Heron
Butorides striatus

This picture was taken in PJ, along the Federal Highway near the Astaka Sports Complex.

Identifying this juvenile bird is quite confusing as I got mixed up with the Cinnamon Bittern.

These residents and winter migrants are commonly found around marshes, ponds and large drains in search of food. Next week, many of their relatives (perhaps in their thousands) are making their way from the Northern Hemisphere such as China, Mongolia, Russia..... would be visiting us here in Malaysia.

One can go to the MNS Kuala Selangor Bird Park and also the Paya Indah Wetlands in Dengkil (which was re-opened last Sunday) to try to spot these visitors.

Get your 'Bins' ready,............it's Birding Time folks!

Classic Wan Tan Mee

Koon Kee Restaurant.
Petaling Street Area,
Kuala Lumpur.

Visited this shop recently. It was really a re-visit.

Opened almost 60 years ago, they are one of the few 'original' Wan Tan Mee shops in Kuala Lumpur City.

This traditional dish from Southern China is usually prepared with a rich soup stock. It is then served with fresh Wan Tan, Char Siew (Barbecued Pork strips) and Kai See (shredded chicken meat). Eventually, many preferred the 'dried' version now famously known as the "Korn Lo Mee". The 'Wan Tan Mee' lovers will still stick to the soupy original and one can tell if the stall is good just by tasting the soup!
Still cooking at their usual station since opening.
Another follower silently enjoying her favourite!

Tourists abound.
Koon Kee did try out in PJ (Damansara Utama) but failed.

The other one is Ho Weng Kee, which was located in Jalan Petaling, nearer to the Chinese Assembly Hall. Being born and bred in KL, our family and friends have been patronising this outlet. They have closed since but a relative opened one up in SS2, PJ. They are still good!

Since we moved to Klang, we kinda missed this original dish. The ones in Klang are mostly of the dry version. Strangely here in Klang, the Wan Tan is the 'smallest' in the world!!!! Still wondering why?

Cineplex Istimewah

Welcome 7.1

Just completed testing out our upgrade and installation of our THX 7.1 sound system.

This is to complement our High Definition TV 1080p which started early this year. Our old version was DTS 5.1 and two weeks ago, we bought our 7.1 amplifier and 13 speaker/drivers for the 7 channel system.
This true 7.1 works and is also backward friendly. That would mean DVDs that features 5.1 is digitally played back giving a 7.1 effect. Only the BluRay Discs and downloaded Hard Disk programmes have true 7.1 sound. You got to hear to believe.

7.1 sound do not necessarily mean 'louder' volume or buying a larger LCD TV means having a bigger living room. These thoughts were already thing of the past. For LCD HDTV, the larger the size and sitting closer to the screen means getting into the visual dimension. Just like IMAX.
7 channels audio mean full audio dimensions i.e. 'your eyes can actually follow the moving sound'!
These life-like sound dimension appears only when necessary such as in action scenes. For example, aircrafts/helicopters/spacecrafts doing a flyby/flyover. It is a freak-out with 7.1.

This is the rear-side of our new Amplifier. Wowie, 3 HDMI in and 1 Out! 2 Digital Input and 2 Optical input!
Seven speakers output and one for sub-woofer. PLUS one additional Zone 2 pre-amp out!
Bi-amping on front speakers!
Our vintage and trusty JBL main pair of front speakers.

A phalanx of centre speakers, modified for higher spectrum frequency to get clearer speech and (dialog-y) movies such as "Michael Clayton" and "August Rush".
Our rear speakers are suspended but pointed down for a clearer 'Rear' effect.
Again, carefully modified for better sound spread, our array of side speakers gives a clean audio frequency between 1,500Hz to 18,000Hz.
The new Jamo active subwoofer is just perfect for our viewing area. It features some control- able booms and spread.
The new Onkyo's "Audyssey" 7.1 channel sound-check computed programming is tedious but is very accurate giving excellent results all the time.

Our connection from the program source is via Monster cable THX fibre-optic cable and Supra HDMIs. Monster's Co-axials are also being used.

Jazz and Classicals are played via a dedicated CD player. The older DVD's, another. Our main source is of course the TVIX by Divco HD player. Our total Hard Disk space is 4TB (TerraBytes)
The final result? A mini-cineplex!!!!Ha!Ha! This is 'that-kinda-noise' we love to hear.
WOWIE!!!
