HITAM IS DEAD!

RESCUE: Who Killed Hitam?

I was informed that one of our heroes who were involved in the Operations Swamp Dogs rescue have been poisoned to death! This is shocking!
Hitam (Blackie) and Kuning (Yellow) were our mascots and were responsible for helping us in rescuing more than 40 out of hundreds abandoned dogs which was left for dead in Pulau Selat Kering off Pulau Ketam, Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.
According to The Star newspaper yesterday, which reported the sad news, this is most outraging because disposing stray dogs here in Malaysia is already (bad) 'news-breaking' and despicable throughout the world. The report is here.

During my involvement with the rescue team, I met Kuning and Hitam who were assisting us in welcoming "GRACE' out of the water. I shot the reunion. This was at the Kelong on 7th. May, 2009. I have now edited a new clip from my High Definition raw footage to be made into an HD video clip for anyone who wants to know Hitam Better. The black marks on his tongue is his identification and with a shiny black coat as well.

My contribution is this memorial video for our beloved Hitam. Please see it.You all can send in your monetary donations generously (if you wish) directly to Sabrina's Furry Friend Farm and/or the SPCA.

IN MEMORIAM of our Hero HITAM, I personally dedicate this video to him for helping to save more than 40 wounded and suffering dogs who are now alive.

Please see the Full HD Video here.
Please ask you friends to see this too.

Thank You everyone for your heart felt concerns ,donations and support. Malaysian dogs do deserve better!

A Strange Looking Moth

AWESOME COLORS!

Last night, while still learing how to use the new AVCHD Camcorder, an interesting subject appeared before me. It was a large Moth which I have never seen before. Inspite of being a 'nature person' and have been around almost every nook and crannies in our jungles, this beautiful green colored Moth came into our home. It rested on the front grille of my JBL speaker.
Must have loved the sound system too.

Any nature buff or Moths specialists out there can help me identify this moth? Is this rare?Common?

This picture was shot on the new Panasonic HDC-TM300 AVCHD Camcorder which can double as a photographic camera at 10Mps on 1080HD.
We live here in Klang, Selangor.

Thanks

Hello There!

"I Am a Green Lizard"

This picture was taken at 1pm today. This was at the Taman Alam, Kuala Selangor Nature Bird Park, Selangor. "Anyone out there knows my name?"
Appreciates if any 'lizard' specialists knows what type of wild cicak is this!

Went birding this morning but all we saw was plenty of "two-legged noise makers" that come in droves. Inspite of large notice Boards requesting silence in appropriate languages, still, these un-educated fools makes lots of un-necessary noise!!!!!!! Not only the resident Monkeys were agitated, we got out of the place as fast as we came in.
Just how does one observe birds with so much disturbances? Pure un-educated fools!
We sprayed on mosquito repellant. There were thousands of 'em. Still wondering how these un-educated fools handled da mosquitoes! There were no birds too. Wondered why?

Shine UP, Shine DOWN

MPK,
Please wake UP!

It is already a month and MPK does not give a damn. Claiming to be 'World Class' and wanted to be a 'fully developed CITY', such poor upkeep is so typical of our daily life.

This set of traffic lights, located in Jalan Meru, is in front of Klang Parade. The lights are pointing downwards and even the first car on the junction cannot see if it is red, green or amber! The 'kontractor' did not bother to put it right. By now, they must have been paid for a job well done!
Gaji buta!

Next is a street light located on the "World's Only Single lane Tolled Highway" This former Jalan Batu Belah had been handed over to Shahpadu Highway operator who collects a 60 sen toll/single way. To justify charging this toll, this road is 'given' to them.
This is also the 'Worst maintained Highway in the World" which is full of potholes, Ultra bad road shoulders and lights which are KO'ed all the time. Perhaps our Tuanku should come over here to see this part of the 'Highway'! we are so fed up already.

Just see this street lamp!

It is NOT beaming on the road.

It is pointed up towards the sky!!!!!! Whadda Fuck!

Fruit Identified!

Crescentia cujete
aka Calabash Tree fruit
The fruit that we bought last week is not deemed totally safe to consume as there are lots of caution made in the use of this fruit said to be from South America. The Hawaiian name is called laamia.
(The above picture is taken from a specimen centre in Hawaii)

How did it get here? I was told that it is grown locally but not much is known about is. Thanks to fellow Naturalists from the MNS, I am now aware of its safety. In conclusion, I am NOT eating/cooking this fruit . I also suggest that those who come across such fruit to think twice.
We got it from a side stall in Ulu Yam Lama.
I also hope that Botanists here in Malaysia can enlighten us further about this 'laamia' fruit and also to clarify the connection between the so called "Mo Fa Kor" label because the seller repeatedly mentioned this name when selling us this fruit.
