Resident Magpies

Our Magpies
"Feeding Time"

The Video below shows a feeding session when a parent flies in with a 'grub' to pop it into the 'large mouth' baby. We also noticed that the parent seems to know who gets to eat next!
It is through this video we learned that the babies' dropping (poop) is also being removed and as compared to our other resident bird, the Peaceful Dove, the Magpie's nests are the cleanest.
Thus a re-useable nest!

How we wish humans are 'that' hardworking!!! ;-)

This video is shot on High Definition AVCHD format.

Mrs. Tham, I don't want to speak for Donald, but I read on the FFF Facebook site that both Grace and Hope have recovered and should be back at FFF from the vets by now!!

Dear Kim and Mrs. Tham,

We have made a clarification at the comments section of our earlier posting "Crap, Grab and Crap"
Yes , my wife and I met Hope at the Furry Friends Farm. Hope is doing great. Grace's too.
But then Hope is NOT Salvation. Salvation is Salvation.
Please share this with us. See the pictures of Salvation and Hope for yourselves. Yes Sabrina told us about it in person when we were at the farm on Sunday, 3.30pm 24th. May,2009. But sadly, we do not think so.
Many others on the blogs also agrees that Hope do not look like Salvation. We are all not new to dogs, are we?
Anyway, what we believe is not important.
There are hundreds of dogs that need good homes and there is a long road ahead to find good homes for Sabrina's dogs at FFF. We are truly glad that we have managed to save more than 30 dogs in total.

Thanks again Kim, Mrs Tham.

Donald, I do want to think that Salvation is Hope too, but the features just doesn't look the same. To me Hope and Cleo looks more like an Airedale Terrier Mix or a Welsh Terrier Mix or some kinda Terrier Mix and Salvation is more to a Shih Tzu Mix. There's a different in the nose/jawline.
Till today, I am still praying for you guys and to a successful mission. As for Salvation, she'll just show up soon just as Grace did! I am a true believer of Miracles and I know you guys will find Salvation and save her! Good luck to you, Pam, Sabrina, TV, Shoba, .......and all that are helping in this FFF save the dogs mission, and I know GOD will bless you all.
Even though we do not really know each other, I have grown to love you guys all and will pray for you all.

Dear Mrs Tham,

You are so very right and looks like you too can tell the difference. But then I honestly wish that Miracles happen.

Salvation just look like our girl Xiao Mei. That....sad...look!
Because of Salvation, we now treasure Xiao Mei every minute every day.

Thanks so much for your support in what we have been doing, trying to save the poor dogs.

Cheers and regards

I've seen Xiao Mei's blog and I must admit she's really one LUCKY pup to have you and yr dear wife! I saw Desiree's video at Pam's blog and my it really hurt me to see her condition. Compare to my HAPPY, well it's just 360deg coz my friends told me HAPPY is a cross between a Beagle and a Pig!!
I know I have to really watch out for her health but I tried so many things from diet and all but I guess she's the fatty one huh! Well let's just talk about our dogs at Xiao Mei blog ok! I would also like to start a blog about my Fat HAPPY, well if you don't mind I may need you to teach me... I'll write at Xiao Mei's blog later.
But till them, pls take care and GOD bless! I just know Salvation will be rescued!! I can feel her existance, I don't know why...

Dear Mrs Tham,

Honestly, we felt a loss but still somewhere deep inside, there may be a miracle. You see, the Hell's Island used to be our stomping ground during my younger days as an angler back in the 70's.
Weekly we would get the boat out from the club and 'jala' for live prawns and belanaks to use as bait to fish at beacon number 30, called Pintu Gedung which is next to Pulau Selat Kering.

These are NOT islands at all. It is a tidal swamp without any dry land form. So there is NO fresh water. Domesticated dogs would drink sea water to quench their thirst not realising doing that everytime, kills them.
It is slow and painful until their kidneys fails. It is sad.
Any vet can can you that. That is why I was so fed up about the whole issue. Humans can be so cruel yet talking about spaying and neutering. My wish is that the law allows spaying and neutering of idiotic people who are so wicked!!
Ha!Ha!
